デザインと、モノづくりと、瀬戸内の風景を繋ぐ場所。

瀬戸内の小さな港町の風景に魅せられて、
デザインの働き場を北浜に移して18年、
築100年の古倉庫街、北浜アリーの一角にカフェをオープンしたり
ギャラリーや瀬戸内のいい物語りをセレクトしたショップを運営しながら、
香川を見つめてきました。
それは長い年月をかけて自分は何者なのかを探す旅でもありました。

この間に多くの出会いがありました。
ミュージシャン、アーティストや作家さん、職人さん、料理人、
クリエイター、ライター、フォトグラファー、デザインのお客様など、
多彩な方たちとの繋がりは僕の一番の財産になっています。

そんなみんなの技やアイデアが詰まった場所、
瀬戸内の風景、モノづくり、文化、そして過去と未来をデザインで繋ぐ試みとして、
さろんぶるーはスタートしました。

It's a place where design, craftsmanship and the Setouchi scenery all come together seamlessly.

I was bewitched by the scenery of a little town in the Setouchi region.
I moved my design workshop to Kitahama 18 years ago.
I opened a cafe in Kitahama Alley, a 100 year old warehouse district,
managed a gallery, and a shop where I sold only the best items from the Setouchi region.
All these years, my eyes were always focused on Kagawa.
It was a journey of self discovery that took many years.

I met many people during that time.
Musicians, artists, novelists, craftsmen, chefs,
creators, writers, photographers, my design clients...
Making those connections with a diverse selection of people is my most valuable treasure.
I started Salon Blue in an effort to gather all of their skills and ideas into one place,
where I could attempt to combine the atmosphere of Setouchi, fine craftsmanship,
culture, and the past and future through design.
